As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites. You will work with a team of designers, developers, and content creators to build websites that are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and functional. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins, as well as integrating third-party tools and services. You should be familiar with WordPress best practices, including performance optimization, security, and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are optimized for mobile devices.
- Integrate third-party tools and services, such as payment gateways, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to ensure website designs are visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Optimize website performance and ensure websites are fast and efficient.
- Ensure website security and implement best practices to prevent hacking and other security breaches.
- Ensure websites are accessible to people with disabilities and comply with accessibility guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with WordPress websites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
- Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles.
- Knowledge of website optimization techniques, including performance, security, and accessibility.
- Experience with integrating third-party tools and services, such as payment gateways, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other content management systems, such as Drupal or Joomla.
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors, such as SASS or LESS.
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Angular.

- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Working Conditions: Remote work may be an option depending on the company's policies. The position may require occasional overtime, weekend work, or on-call availability to address website issues or emergencies.
